Criatividade

Expressing my creativity is a way of life for me. Early on I used difrerent ways to do it, through dance, theatre, painting, sculpture, etc.

I 've my studio, where I can create my projects. I'm an artist and crafter I use a variety of materials in my projects, I love paper and paper mache.

I'm a wife, mother of two, a boy and a girl, that are so different and so inspiring, to be abble to see them grow I decided to be a full-time mother.

My other interests include painting, reading, seeing movies, listening music, dancing and beeing with my familiy. I love to travel. I love to share my work with you.

“As Marias” de Paula Valério

"As Marias" by Paula Valério

Inspired by the popular Portuguese saying "Women and sardines, we want them the smallest" Marias emerged in 2013. They are small sculptures, in woman’s shape, prepared by hand in paper mache paste and present themselves dressed in Portugal. The decorative themes of their costumes are the tile, the valentines’ handkerchiefs, the beautiful Portuguese cities and their monuments and Fado, of course, a repository of memories that the inspired artist materializes in the dolls’ dresses. Each piece is unique, numbered and signed by its creator Paula Valério, born in Lisbon, Portugal, 1970.

Inspiradas no ditado popular português "Mulher e sardinha, querem-se da pequenina” surgiram As Marias, em 2013. São pequenas esculturas, em forma de mulher, elaboradas à mão, em pasta de papel e apresentam-se vestidas de Portugal. Os temas decorativos dos seus trajes são o azulejo, os lenços dos namorados, as bonitas cidades portuguesas e seus monumentos e, claro, o fado, repositório de memórias que a inspiração da artista concretiza nos vestidos das bonecas. Cada peça é única, numerada e assinada pela sua criadora Paula Valério, nascida em 1970, Lisboa, Portugal.
